At the age of 14, Richie started to play guitar. By the age of 18, he wrote his first song "Follow Your Dreams" and at that point decided to dive deeper into the music industry. Richie grew up in a small farm town called, Plainwell, MI. His first album "Joan" is dedicated to his grandmother for her continuous support of his musical career.
