Few would have expected a high school dropout, and teen mom, to reach her goals or realize her dream, but that is Letita Martin’s story. There were days when caring and providing for her son, while battling depression, were unbearable. Completing her GED, earning a degree in Business Management, and making her debut in music was no small feat. As difficult as the journey, and despite the odds, the end result was rewarding. Today, strengthened through battle, Letita is a beating heart that reaches youth and young adults. She is a spunky fireball; a high-energy songstress set on pushing the boundaries of music to heal and to help. Her timeless sound is a youthful fusion of Billboard’s top music genres. Her songs are an example of artistry and dialogue that welcome music lovers to an exhilarating and heartfelt experience. An accomplished dancer, choreographer, and creative director by trade, Letita began blessing the mic at a young age via NAACP, City Stage, and other artist showcases in North Carolina. Fast-tracking her career, Letita went on to perform at the 25th Annual Stellar Awards kick-off reception before emceeing the 8th and 9th Annual Holy Hip-Hop Awards, the 3rd and 4th Carolina Urban Inspirational Awards. In between creating music and stage productions, Letita served as a radio personality -- hosting Tita’s World on 102.9 FM in Greenville, South Carolina before shifting her focus exclusively to producing music. In 2009, Letita was nominated for and won “Best Female Urban Inspirational” during the Carolina Urban Inspirational Awards--an honor she was nominated for again in 2010. In 2010 Letita was nominated for “Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year” and “Urban Contemporary Song of the Year” during the Rhythm of Gospel Awards. After a much-needed hiatus from entertainment, Letita is dishing out double portions of fusion music that is true to her calling and her unconventional style.
